ICC Cricket Champions Trophy 8th edition is scheduled to be played in Pakistan and Dubai once again and India to defend their title of champions at the same venue where they became the champions beating England in final match by 5 runs.

International cricket council has announced the Cricket Champions Trophy schedule & groups divisions.
Arch rival Pakistan and India are placed once again in a same group along with South Africa and Sri Lanka and other two different teams.
On the other side India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and New Zealand are in Group A.

Cricket Champions Trophy 2025 Dates: This mega event will take place between 19th February to 10th March, 2025.
Total 15 matches will be played between 8 teams of two different groups. Each team will play 3 matches. Total 12 matches are based on group games, 2 semi finals and 1 final match. The final game is scheduled to be played at Lahorea & Dubai.

West Indies cricket team will not appear in the Champions Trophy 2017 edition as they did not qualify for the event after they failed to qualify for the top eight teams through a gateway event played in September, 2015, while on the counter side Bangladesh will make their comeback in the tournament after 11 yeas as they made their last appearance back in 2006 for the last time.
The Cricket Champions Trophy will take place on 1st June where 8 dangerous cricket teams will try to take on each other during three weeks, teams are divided into two groups that are mentioned above.
All the teams could go through a Warm-Up phase that will be consists of 5-6 matches. Bangladesh replaces West Indies, while there is not a single team from associate members of ICC in this season of Champions Trophy.
Total 8 editions of Champions Trophy has been taken place so far, this competition started back on 1998 and based on 50-Over format of cricket. This is the 2nd most important event of ICC after Cricket World Cup. In the beginning, the event had to take place after every two years, but the officials of ICC decided to extend the tenure to 4 years.
The teams who are taking part in the Champions Trophy 2025 passed through a qualification procedure and only 8 teams are eligible to participate in the event. West Indies did not qualify and that’s why they won’t be able to participate, while Bangladesh successfully registered their participation in the mega event right after 11 years.
